The boys found this little guy wandering around inside our house. We can only surmise that the dog carried the poor little dude in recently. His shell is slightly damaged (from being carried in the dog’s mouth perhaps), but otherwise alright. We’re watching over the little fella until we can let him go somewhere safer for him in the next few days.

Yeah, sorry you missed him too! he was a cute little dude. He’s safely now at grandma and grandpa’s pond. And yes, Kizzy does indeed like to use turtles as chew toys…
